Brooke loves teaching because you can start with a concrete manipulative and progressively move to abstract concepts. She is motivated to give children a set of materials and exercises that require using their senses. Brooke spends her free time with her family, Matt (husband), and three children, Matthew, Emersyn, and Mae. You can also find Brooke on the sidelines coaching softball in the local areas, and she attends every New York Jets home game!

Jaime Winters has worked with children and families in our local community for over twenty years. She started her career working with infants and preschool children as she pursued her degree in Social Work. Throughout her career, Jaime has gained experience in the passing years working in Early Childhood Education through High School age groups in various program structures. She took a 10-year hiatus from education and social work to stay home with her two children and run a small hobby farm. Jaime has worked at Copeland Run Academy for two years in the 2’s room, coming full circle to the place she cherishes, as her two children attended school here.
Gaya has been teaching 3s at Copeland Run Academy since 2019. Before that, she worked as a pediatric physical therapist in Chester County since 2006, working in early intervention in the classroom for 3–5-year-olds in preschools all across Chester County, where she developed a deep understanding of child development. Gaya holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in physical therapy and is certified in preschool and kindergarten education. She is passionate about teaching STEAM (Science, Technology, Arts, and Math) and fostering a love for learning from the beginning through teaching, interactive play, and exploration by following each child’s interests. Gaya says CRA preschool is more than just a classroom; it is a place where imaginations soar, friendships blossom, minds explore new ideas, and we celebrate each child’s unique potential.
Sally has been an educator for 40+ years with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education (PreK-8th grade) from Kutztown University, a Master of Education in Reading from West Chester University, and a Principal Certification from Immaculata University. She has taught Kindergarten and first grade and worked as an elementary reading specialist. Sally is married to Dave and has four children (David, Dan, Caitlin, and Nathan) and three grandchildren (Harrington, Pearl, and Everett). She volunteers on the Lending Library with Love bookmobile in her spare time and at the Bondsville Mill Library. She also helps keep the Lloyd Park pop-up library stocked with books. Sally is a longtime fan of the Phillies and Eagles and is a massive fan of Pre-K children.
Terry Valentine has a B.S. in Elementary Education from many years ago and has taken graduate courses and workshops. She came to Copeland in January 2022 and loved the school and the families. Terry has a variety of teaching experiences in public and private schools and has taught preschool through fifth grade locally and upstate; Terry’s last experience before Copeland was teaching Kindergarten at Coatesville Area School District for 18 years. She loves the little ones and their excitement for learning! Terry is a mom to two grown children and a beloved “Grammy.” She has a cat named Cookie that follows her everywhere and does funny antics. In her spare time, Terry loves reading, playing on her computer, riding her bike, swimming, playing games, and spending time with her family and friends. She loves teaching and watching her students’ faces light up when they have finally learned or accomplished something new!
Divya has a master's degree in computer science. She worked in Business Process outsourcing for Healthcare Claims back office and has volunteered several hours in various elementary schools as a librarian assistant in a local Montessori school. Divya has a solid commitment to excellence combined with love and passion for teaching kids, helping them progress in all areas of their development. She loves working with children and seeing their eyes light up when they discover something new. Divya has two daughters who keep her very busy with their various activities. She enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, and listening to music in her spare time. She is excited to join the Copeland Run Academy team and looks forward to working with your children!
Jeanette has been working at Copeland Run Academy for 11 years and with children for over 30 years in one way or another. She is working with Miss Gaya in the afternoon extended day program this year. Jeanette also helps run Copeland's fantastic summer program. She is one of the founding members of the nonprofit organization "Out of the Box Robotics." In her time away from Copeland, she volunteers as a mentor on her highly successful robotics team, which serves students from grades 7 to 12. She runs First Lego League teams for children in PreK-8th grades. Jeanette also volunteers with FIRST and serves as a judge at local robotics competitions. She loves spending time with her husband, sons, and grandson when she is not busy at Copeland or mentoring robotics. Jeanette's interests are baking, camping, and DIY crafts.
Phyllis is starting her second year at Copeland Run Academy and is excited to work with your children for another successful school year. Previously, Phyllis was a teachers' assistant at St. Joesph in Downingtown, where her two children attended. During her time off, Phyllis likes to spend time with her two grandchildren.
Jill is a graduate of West Chester University with a bachelor's in health and physical education with a concentration in Adapted Physical Education. She has a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in Special/Adapted Physical Education. Jill taught for many years in special education at Overbrook School for the Blind as a movement education specialist and health instructor, working with children ages 3-21 in physical education, health, aquatics, and dance. Since 2005, Jill's daughters have attended the 4s and Kindergarten program, and she hasn't left since!
