Copeland Run Academy has had some changes throughout its 40-year history, however, the basic philosophies of which the school was founded have remained. Mary Louise Lloyd was a clinical psychologist who established the school in 1983 because of her strong belief in the importance of a child's development in the early formative years. She believed that children should be provided with a nurturing, stimulating environment in which they can become eager, independent, lifelong learners.
Copeland is a state-licensed, non-profit organization starting with the age of 2 through Pre-Kindergarten.
